A Nile cruise is our recommendation for the best way to travel between the ancient cities of Luxor and Aswan, both of which are rich with temples and monuments. Sit back and indulge yourself on one of the deluxe riverboats and enjoy the sun setting over the fertile banks. Close to Aswan are the colossal temples of Abu Simbel.
In the north, you’ll find the Mediterranean city of Alexandria and the oases of the Western Desert. Many people head to Egypt for the crystal-clear waters and golden sandy beaches of upmarket beach resorts like Sharm-el-Sheikh. Here, the diving and snorkelling are amazing and you can take your pick from world-class dive sites.
