Shima
Located in Nakanojo city of Gunma Prefecture, Shima has a long history as one of the oldest and most popular onsen towns in Japan.
With its history stretching back to over 1200 years ago, there are as many as over 40 hot spring sources and it is believed that the water has tremendous medicinal qualities which can aid in curing over 40,000 types of diseases.
