A total of 94 rooms spread out over the 4 buildings of the hotel, each has its own character. The Main House comprises the original American Colony building and the New Wing where all the thematic rooms are located. The Palm House contains the luxurious room, some with spectacular painted ceiling. Adjacent to the Palm House is the East House where some of the historical older rooms are located as well as the classic Pasha, Deluxe Pasha and the Penthouse suites are. The Cow Byre is an agricultural building that have been preserved and incorporated into the newly restored rooms and suites, several of which have their own private patio or terrace.
The American Colony also host some of the best restaurants and bars in Jerusalem. Start of the day with a warm breakfast at the famous Courtyard and end your day with a charcoal grill meal under the stars in the Summer bar or a mix of Middle Eastern and international fare at the Arabesque. Not forgetting to enjoy some wine at the hotel's award winning wine cellar.
The various gardens in the hotel are also a highlight to be mentioned. Adjoining the East House is the edible garden, a functioning herb garden where the chef picks up ingredients for the kitchen's daily use.
