Set in the foothills of the majestic Himalaya mountain range, above the holy city of Rishikesh and overlooking the sacred Ganges River, sits Ananda, one of the world’s greatest spas – certainly the setting is incomparable.

The 78 rooms and suites are set within the estate of the Maharaja of Tehri-Garwal’s and have views towards the Palace, the river or Rishikesh, a town renowned for its yoga and meditation schools.

The spa delivers treatments from the ancient Ayurvedic method but in a contemporary Western spa environment. The aim of such treatments is to balance the mind with the body. Clinical treatments for weight loss as well as therapeutic detoxification, de-stressing and cleansing treatments are all under the guidance of qualified doctors and nutritionists who will create a personalised course of treatment for you including your diet during your stay. Apart from spa cuisine, the restaurants provide a variety of pan-Indian dishes, Oriental and western food.

We can offer a range of 3 to 21 night packages which includes all spa treatments and meals. The packages are designed for certain needs such as detox, stress management, rejuvenation, fitness or yoga. The hotel also has superb rates for single travellers wanting some time alone for a spa detox.

Although the spa is the principal attraction, the setting is perfect for outdoor pursuits too. White water rafting, game fishing, wildlife excursions, cultural visits and of course trekking of various levels are all possible.
