Stylish, contemporary rooms
Hotel Adriana is a stylish hotel set on the waterfront in Hvar Town, overlooking the harbour. Spring and autumn are a wonderful time to visit, when the weather is balmy and an air of tranquillity pervades the island. May and June are particularly beautiful as the spring flowers come to life and dot the hillsides of the island's rugged and beautiful interior.
In July and August when the crowds descend, Hotel Adriana becomes a welcome bolt hole, with its own private roof terrace giving a prime view of the harbour so you can enjoy Hvar's legendary atmosphere without having to battle for space.
Rooms are comfortable with clean, modern lines, intricately patterned fabrics, splashes of rich colour and warm wood tones. The style is modern but not over the top and nearly all rooms have a view of the harbour and the Old Town. The Sensori spa provides a range of treatments, integrating the healing properties of local plants with the traditional remedies of massage, movement, hydrotherapy and aesthetic care to invigorate and restore the senses.
The roof terrace is the hotel's pièce de résistance and is made of a series of multilevel garden terraces which include a bar with a wrap around view of the harbour and the Old Town. There is also a seawater swimming pool enclosed by a unique canopy system which enables it to be both open air and indoor. A spacious deck surrounds the pool and is dotted with sun loungers overlooking the town, the hills and the bay.
In summer the hotel also has its own beach club, Bonj les Bains, nestled under a pine grove on the eastern shore of Amfora's small bay. Originally built in the 1930s and lovingly restored, Bonj offers private stone cabanas, individual and couples massage at Sensori Ô, sun beds, showers as well as dining and entertainment.
