The winter months are damp and windy, with average temperatures hovering around 8°C. The next day, board an unconventional motorised bamboo raft boat for an hour’s cruise down the picturesque and calm Li River. Glide past the limestone peaks, luxuriant green paddies and charming villages along the river. In the evening, catch the exquisite Impressions of Liu Sanjie, choreographed by the renowned director Zhang Yimo where hundreds of performers sing and dance against the enchanting scenery of Yangshuo - an amazing way to end your first night in Yangshuo.
