Solar da Ponte is owned by a British couple, John and Anna Maria Parsons, who fell in love with Tiradentes and whose aim it is to create a unique and hospitable experience in the Mineira tradition. The colonial-style architecture creates a comfortable environment, and the spacious interiors feature light colour schemes complemented by traditional décor and locally made furniture.
The hotel features 18 guest rooms in total. All are spacious and furnished with antiques. Take a stroll around the historic centre of the town and admire the local artworks on display and the variety of handicrafts. The native tropical forests are stunning, and the imposing Sao Jose Mountain Range, now an ecological reserve, creates an awe-inspiring backdrop. Excursions to the countryside, visits to fazendas and preservation areas, on foot, horse-back, by 4x4 or bicycle can all be arranged.
