Having opened in December 2016 Thurnhers Residences offers a suite apartment and a penthouse apartment, accommodating from two guests in Apartment 3 to seven guests in Penthouse Apartment 5. This is luxury, spacious accommodation for guests looking for a bit more independence and privacy than in a hotel whilst still having access to hotel facilities. The accommodation is ideally suited to families and groups with accommodation ranging in size from 56 sqm to 190 sqm.
The modern, spacious apartments have limed oak floors and the modern design interiors have a mixture of Scandinavian and Italian influences. Access to all the hotel facilities means guests can utilise the spa with its swimming pool and saunas as well as have breakfast and dinner in the restaurants, alternatively breakfast can be served in the apartment when requested.
All of the ski resorts in the Arlberg region are now connected by the new Flexenbahn making it easier to access over 300 km groomed slopes and 200 km of deep powder runs. Other activities in the area include heli-skiing to find untouched slopes, paragliding high up in the mountains to admire the beautiful region from the air and tobogganing down the 4km illuminated track from Oberlech to Lech.
When to visit
Having an apartment gives you privacy but having the hotel facilities means you don't have to cook if you don't want to and you have access to the fab spa
Thurnhers Alpenhof is in the centre of Zurs in the middle of the Arlberg ski area, 5km from Lech and 15 km from St Anton. The ski lifts are a short walk or only a couple of minutes’ drive. There is a regular shuttle bus service giving easy access to the entire ski area, and which is particularly useful for non-skiers.
Horse drawn sleigh - Scott Dunn Suggests
A ride in a horse drawn sleigh is perfect for non-skiers, but also a lot of fun for families with small children.
Ski and fly - Scott Dunn Suggests
A unique and extreme skiing experience for those who think heli-skiing is cheating!
Tobogganing - Scott Dunn Suggests
Shoot down the 4.3km long toboggan run all the way to the bottom of Nasserein.
