Average time to visit

This itinerary visits many regions of Australia. As Hamilton Island is in the Whitsundays and not as far north as some islands on the Great Barrier Reef the weather is not quite so extreme. The best time to visit is still between April and October but it is still well worth a visit the rest of the year.

Kangaroo Island can be visited year round and the cooler weather between April and October can be when the best wildlife is viewed. Sydney and the Blue Mountains can also be visited year round.
