Thailand’s tropical climate means that the country generally experiences high temperatures and humidity throughout the year, which can split into the hot, cool and rainy seasons. The average temperature ranges from the lowest at round 30°C in December, to the highest at around 36°C between January and April. The best time to visit is between November and February, when the weather is at its best throughout the country. In Central Thailand, rain mostly falls between December and September, whereas in Northern Thailand, the dry seasons is between November and May and the wet season is from June to October. Thailand’s southern parts are split into east and west – the west coast’s wet season is between April and October, whereas on the east coast it is from September to October.

  1. Fly to Bangkok

  2. Days 1-4: Bangkok, Thailand

    Once you have had the afternoon to settle into your hotel you will be ready to dive into the buzz of this unique city.  With an expert private guide you will feel the throng of Bangkok wash over you whilst you submerge in the culture all around you; hop aboard the Skytrain, float down the Chao Phraya River and visit the iconic landmarks of Wat Pho and the Grand Palace. Or why not jump on two wheels and cycle ride along Bangkok’s small roads and alleyways, taking in the temples and landmarks as the sun sets over the city.

  3. Days 4-6: Kanchanaburi, Kanchanaburi and Ayutthaya, Thailand

    En route to Kanchanaburi you will stop in the garden province to Samut Songkhram, where you can visit beautiful temples, an authentic floating market and even a 400-year-old Banyan tree.  Your base for the next two nights will be the beautiful Hintok River Camp, right next to the mesmerising River Kwa. Your time in Kanchanaburi will be spent learning about the town’s rich history and key role during the Second World War as you walk along a memorial trail overlooking the hills of Myanmar and enjoy a short train ride along the infamous ‘death railway’ through Kwai Noi gorge.

  4. Days 6-7: Bangkok, Thailand

    Sit back and enjoy the two-hour drive back to Bangkok. Once settled you are free to explore as you wish. Perhaps relaxing at the hotel, browsing the local night markets or embark on a culinary excursion into the charming district of Bangrak, gaining an in-depth understanding of Thai food culture and flavor as you drift from stall to stall.

  5. Days 7-10: Northern Thailand

    Your journey continues with a short flight to Chiang Mai. The next day don your walking boots and enjoy a full day trek through the magnificent landscape of Doi Inthanon National Park, spotting exotic wildlife, visiting small hill tribe communities and soaking up the natural beauty of the Wachiratharn Waterfall as you go. On your second full day in the city, you may choose to explore the city on foot, browsing the markets and handicraft stalls, or perhaps venture to Sri Lanna National Park to enjoy a bicycle and kayak tour around the Mae Ngat Lake reservoir.

  6. Days 10-15: East coast beaches and islands

    Time to sit back and ponder the last few days of your trip on your two hour flight to Koh Samui. Here you will reside at Belmond Napasai, a tranquil resort hidden away in lush oceanside tropical gardens.  Over the next four days enjoy crystal clear waters, boat excursions, sailing, snorkeling trips, water sports amongst a number of other activities and excursions. Your trip draws to a close on the morning of day fifteen as you are driven approximately five hours to Krabi Airport in time to catch your flight home, or onwards to your next destination.
