Straddling the equator, Indonesia tends to have a fairly even climate year-round. Rather than four seasons, Indonesia has two – dry (between May to September) and wet (between October to April) – and there are no extremes of temperature between winter and summer. In most parts of Indonesia, the wet season falls between October and April and the dry season between May and September. December and January see Bali at its most humid and rain tends to come in sudden tropical downpours, but it can also rain for more prolonged periods.
This luxurious itinerary takes you from the cultural heart of Bali to Komodo where you will cruise the national park in style, stopping off at snorkeling and diving hotspots, pristine beaches and islands in search of the mighty Komodo Dragon. Return to Bali’s south coast for a relaxing end to your vacation unwinding on the beaches of Seminyak.
The first stop is the town of Ubud located in the uplands of Bali home to ancient temples and shrines, terraced rice paddies and some of Bali’s most renowned landscapes. Enjoy three nights in a luxury property overlooking the rice fields, spending the days exploring the Balinese countryside, visiting sacred temples and browsing the upscale boutiques of the town.
After breakfast, you will be driven the airport in time to catch a short flight to Labuan Bajo. Here, you will board Rascal, the luxury yacht that will be your home for the next four nights as you explore the islands of Komodo National Park.
Over the next few days enjoy an array of land-based and water activities on-board Rascal. Highlights include searching for the mighty Komodo Dragon, visiting Pink Beach, beach BBQs, snorkeling with Manta Rays, and hiking to the famous viewpoint on Gili Lawa Darat. In between excursions there is plenty of time to enjoy water sports such as diving, snorkeling, paddle boarding and kayaking as well as unwinding on deck and soaking up the surrounding views of the National Park.
Today you will fly back to Bali to enjoy three nights at a luxurious beach retreat on Bali’s south coast. Enjoy a relaxing end to your trip unwinding on the beach or in your villa’s private pool, browsing Seminyak’s boutiques and sampling some of Bali’s best restaurants a short distance from your hotel.
