Average time to visit
Due to temperatures and precipitation, Delhi and much of northern India can be an extreme place to visit during certain months of the year. The hottest months of the year are May and June, during which time temperatures can get up to 40°C. The coldest months are from December until February whilst the monsoon season is from the end of May through to August. During this time although the the temperature cools, the humidity is very high, and rainstorms are frequent. It is not advised to visit during these months. The best season to visit is between October and March when the weather is pleasant and very cool, making it great for sightseeing.

The Trident Gurgaon makes for a lovely introduction to Delhi. The entire staff are very welcoming, and unfailingly polite. They are able to give you a lot of context for greater Delhi, Gurgaon, and the Trident. This property features gorgeous architecture and landscaping, easily appreciable even at night. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and tastefully appointed. We also highly recommend the complimentary breakfast buffet meal from Cilantro. Everything there is well prepared. Again and again, the staff shine at this location- they're so warm and knowledgeable. All in all an excellent choice for an excellent location.

If you're catching an early flight or arriving into Delhi late at night, The Trident is a great option as its in close proximity to the airport. The facilities available at the property, such as the swimming pool and spa, are excellent and really allow the guest to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. The property is contemporary in design and, similarly to the Oberoi, offers excellent service throughout.

Gurgaon is the business district which has sprung up on the outskirts of Delhi and is home to the Trident Hotel. Located only 20 minutes or so from the airport it is a convenient stopover and that was really all I was expecting from it. How wrong I was. The hotels architecture is what really makes it feel special. From the huge body of water you are greeted by on arrival to the striking design of its barless bar the whole hotel has a very unique feel completely detached from any corporate identity its location would suggest. This is a resort and from the entrance and lobby you descend downwards into a vast sunken courtyard and garden bordered by trees. In the center of the courtyard is a wonderful pool which because of its sunken nature is completely protected from any sounds of traffic from the city beyond, all you can see are trees and sky. The Trident is the more affordable brand of Oberoi hotels but you never feel that here, making it the ideal place to rest and recuperate at the end of an India itinerary. I would also recommend it for those visiting Delhi for a second or third time as there is definitely no better place in the city to relax.

I really liked the modern architecture of this hotel and its light airy feel. I would tend to only recommend this hotel to guests in transit (arriving late or departing early from Delhi) but I really liked the hotel for its resort-like feeling which was perfect for relaxing.
