Best time to Visit

Average time to visit
Nimmo Bay Resort is open from May to October each year. The helicopter packagers run from mid July through to the end of October.
Spring and fall are often warm and pleasant but rainfall can be heavy, particularly on the coast. Summers (June to September) are mostly dry and sunny with warm temperatures. Winters are mild in Vancouver, with only brief snowfalls, while other regions – especially the north and the interior – are subject to freezing temperatures and heavy snow from November to March.
We design each itinerary around you, so this suggested itinerary is a starting point that we can tweak or transform into something completely bespoke to you. Call us on 858 523 9000 to start planning your vacation.

Days 1-3: Vancouver
Arrive into Vancouver, a harbor front city on Canada’s Pacific Coast which acts as an ideal gateway into British Columbia’s wilderness. Spend two nights in the elegant Rosewood Hotel Georgia, centrally located and offering a range of facilities from a fine-dining restaurant to an indulgent spa. We would suggest hiring bikes to explore Stanley Park, with endless acres of stunning shoreline to explore its a highlight of any visit. Then we've included an afternoon food tour of Vancouver, a great way to get your bearings in the city with local guiding and tastings at some top city spots, including renowned Chinese dim sum restaurant Kirin and North Americas best Gelato shop.
Accommodation: Rosewood Hotel Georgia (2 nights)
-
Days 3-6: Tofino
The next morning, you will pick up your hire car and head towards Vancouver Island for your stay in Tofino. On the west coast of the island, the Wickanninish Inn overlooks the wild waters of the Pacific Ocean and for three nights, indulge in fine Relais and Chateaux cuisine, enjoy sensuous massages in the spa or learn how to ride the waves of BC with a surf lesson. No matter the season, this spot is undeniably the best for admiring the coastal landscapes of Western Canada. Whether the water is glistening under the sunshine, or the waves are turbulent with dramatic storms brewing, the Wick is a favorite amongst nature lovers. We've included a must-try surf lesson in Tofino but we could also organize kayaking, paddle boarding and visits to beautiful hot springs.
Accommodation: Wickaninnish Inn (3 nights)
-
Days 6-9: Great Bear Rainforest
On your final morning, rise early to catch one last glimpse of the island landscape before driving up to Port Hardy for your next adventure. Upon arrival, you will be met by a representative and board your first floatplane. Buckle up and soar over the spectacular mountains into the heart of the Great Bear Rainforest, where you will disembark at the magical Nimmo Bay.
The coastal islands and rainforest are home to an abundance of fascinating wildlife; observe orca whales, dolphins, bears, deer and a variety of other creatures as you embark on adventures on foot, by paddleboard, kayak or even by helicopter. The possibilities are seemingly endless with the attentive stAff on hand to cater to your every whim. Spend a day with a helicopter at your disposal and reach remote spots where you can enjoy a delicious picnic, find isolated glaciers where paddleboards can be ready and waiting for you, pass by thundering waterfalls and indulge in heli-hiking on isolated trails or heli-fishing in tricky to reach lakes. Those tempted into relaxation after a week of exhilarating adventures can enjoy yoga on the floating deck or indulge in a spoiling treatment at the spa to rejuvenate aching limbs.
