Set in 438 acres of secluded Hampshire countryside, Heckfield Place is a lovingly restored Georgian manor that offers a deeply personal, authentic escape just an hour from London. More than a hotel, it's a sanctuary where nature, design, and sustainability coexist in quiet harmony. With a strong sense of place and purpose, the estate is defined by its commitment to craft, provenance, and slow living.

Every detail has been carefully curated, from the hand-stitched natural mattresses in each room to the organic Home Farm and biodynamic Market Garden that supplies the restaurants. Interiors are elegant yet welcoming, with natural materials, warm palettes, and a gentle reverence for the building’s heritage. The rooms and suites are spread between the main house and the more intimate and private “Cottage” and “Bothy.” Dining is a highlight at Heckfield. Overseen by culinary director Skye Gyngell, the menus at the Green Michelin-starred Marle and open-fired Hearth showcase the freshest seasonal produce, much of it grown onsite. Guests can also enjoy homegrown herbal infusions at the Moon Bar or explore rare wines from the estate’s cellar. The Assembly program offers thoughtful, enriching experiences, from guided walks and foraging to art workshops and talks by thought leaders. A wide array of on- and off-site activities are also available, including boating, fishing, falconry, and curated picnics. The Bothy by Wildsmith, open exclusively to guests aged 16 and over, is an award-winning wellness space rooted in nature and holistic principles, offering a serene environment for restoration through expert-led treatments and rituals.
