Located to the north of Thailand's beautiful island of Koh Phangan, Anantara Rasananda has a picturesque setting on the pristine white sandy beach of Tong Nai Pan Noi. The island is well known for its party culture, but don't let this deter you. Anantara Rasananda couldn't be further away from this, both in terms of location and atmosphere.
There are 64 spacious and contemporary Thai villas and suites, all beautifully appointed and most have private plunge pools. Some villas are located right on the beach with amazing sea views whilst others are located behind and are more private with enclosed courtyards.
Anantara Rasananda has a lovely spa located amidst the jungle with the treatment rooms hidden away amongst the vegetation. The beachfront restaurant offers meals in a romantic setting and a great pool is located at the heart of the property, complete with pool bar offering thirst-quenching cocktails, and moreover, Happy Hour occurs three times a day! Within minutes of walking you can find yourself in a local town with some more restaurants and bars for a change of scene.
When to visit
Having stayed in one of the huts down the beach when backpacking in Thailand years ago, it was amazing to now be in a private pool villa right on the beach, in the most luxurious hotel on the island!
