Uga Jungle Beach is situated on the relatively unexplored east coast and offers a unique beach experience that is immersed in nature. True to its name, this eco-friendly resort is set amidst a scrub jungle that leads to a secluded beach. Cross the overhead plank bridge from the reception to the lounge and enter this jungle hideaway.
Accommodation is in 48 luxurious cabins thatched with Illuk grass and hidden amongst trees. Paved pathways through shrubs, creepers and winding roots, connect these cabins to the restaurant, swimming pool, and the beautiful ocean stretch.
Timber terraces and bamboo fences are built around tall leafy trees that attract numerous birds and the occasional monkey. Spend your day by the poolside or bask in the sun on the beaches of Kuchchaveli. Being the only hotel on the bay, the beach is virtually deserted. It is also possible to visit Trincomalee from the resort which is a most interesting day trip.
