Activities at Mosaic Private Sanctuary

With Walker Bay Beach just a stones throw away, guests staying at Mosaic can head to the reserve where it is located and enjoy the spectacular marine life, coastal fynbos, and birds via 4x4 to enjoy views of the sky, sand and sea. Trips out to the beach can involve exploring caves, walking along the beach and even starting the day with a beach breakfast. Southern right whales migrate along this coastline and if staying from June to December, you are likely to see some as close as 20 metres off the shores of the beach.
Mosaic also offers guests the chance to rent kayaks and stand up paddle boards to take them out to explore the Klein River estuary, or the Hermanus Lagoon to enjoy calm waters and beautiful surrounding views. For those feeling a little more adventurous, you could take the kayaks out to open sea.
Quad biking at Mosaic is also a firm favourite where guests can ride along the edge of the lagoon for some spectacular views where you will learn about the magnificent flora, the unique fynbos, birds, mammals and lagoon wetlands. Guided trips last from one to three hours.
