Atlantik Sicht is one of three private self catering apartments owned and managed by Cornerstone Guest house, located a couple of streets away. All guests are met at the main guest house before being shown to the apartmentd situated a short walk or drive down the hill. The apartment is a fantastic option for those with a longer stay in Swakopmund seeking more space or for small groups or families travelling together for the ultimate privacy. There is one ensuite master bedroom and a further two double / twin bedrooms which share a bathroom. The interiors are light and airy with a distinctive modern Scandinavian influence. The focal point of the apartment is the open plan living area with its large lounge, dinning table and spacious fully equipped kitchen.
Guests staying at the apartment can choose to cater for themselves or take breakfast at the main guest house, a short walk away. Breakfast packs including bread, milk and jams etc can be requested in advance adding to the convenience. There are a good number of restaurants just a short walk away, or guests are welcome to make use of the Braai (traditional South African BBQ) and enjoy the private garden which overlooks the seafront.
Swakopmund offers a wide range of experiences for all ages including kayaking with seals off Pelican Point, sandboarding and quadbiking across the dunes, exploring desert life with experienced guides, or a day trip to Sandwich Harbour, a natural lagoon lying south of Swakopmund where dunes meet the sea. This area is Namibia's only marine reserve and is home to fantastic bird life including terns, sandpipers, flamingos and cormorants which all can be seen in large numbers.
When to visit
Ask the hotel to make you a reservation at The Jetty or The Tug one evening. Both restaurants are great, the seafood is amazing.
