The trip begins with a 45-minute boat trip west of Puerto Villamil, to the fabulous diving site of The Tunnels, Los Tuneles. The unique geological formations of The Tunnels were formed by a series of lava flows, which have created a glorious diving site of natural tubes and arches. This is one of the island’s best sites to swim with the famous Galapagos marine life, including reef sharks, green sea turtles, penguins, marine iguanas, and manta rays. The site is also home to a large variety of seabirds, so look out for albatross, blue-footed boobies, and frigate birds.
