Wander around the Emei Mountains and keep an eye out for ten classic ancient sights of the area, so named by the Qing Dynasty poet Tan Zhongyue. Discover the evocative ‘Listen to the Spring beside the Tiger Brook’ and the ‘Flying Waterfall Hanging over Dragon Gate’.

Emei Mountain is considered one of the most sacred Buddhist sites in China. The first recorded Buddhist temple in China was built here in the 1st century A.D which led to a growth in culture and religion in the region. Head to the nearby Leshan Giant Buddha scenic area which is home to largest Buddha statue in the world, standing at 71 meters high, an architectural feat of the past and present.
