Svalbard presents Arctic wilderness in its most magnificent form. Our highly accomplished Expedition Team – each member with extensive experience navigating these pristine waters – will thoughtfully craft your daily programme, selecting the finest opportunities based on prevailing weather patterns, sea-ice conditions, and the most promising wildlife encounters.
Against a backdrop of extraordinary fjords, majestic mountain ranges, and fossil-rich polar desert, the heroic narratives of early polar exploration come vividly to life. Watch for walrus basking on sea ice or gathered along remote beaches. Ashore, invigorating walks across wildflower-strewn tundra await, whilst towering cliff faces echo with the calls of nesting guillemots and puffins, and vast scree slopes shelter Svalbard's most impressive little auk colonies. And of course, you will have the best chance to catch a glimpse of the elusive creature, so quintessential of Arctic exploration - the Polar Bear.
Should you have selected an optional activity such as kayaking, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy your chosen pursuit whenever conditions are favourable.
