Ushering in a new era in polar expedition, World Explorer is in a class of its own, combining expedition potential with a luxurious on-board experience. Built to explore the wild polar regions, this cutting-edge vessel is equipped with the latest ice-breaking hull and cutting edge, sustainable technology to leave a minimal impact on the pristine polar environment. On board, a maximum of 175 guests are accommodated across 6 tiers, with spacious cabins featuring the latest modern cruising comforts and amenities.
Cabins are designed to make the most of the stunning views of the polar landscape, each equipped with floor-to-ceiling windows and either a Juliet balcony or a private decking area, complete with outdoor seating. Inside, the cabins are modern, stylish and comfortable, with en-suite bathrooms, air conditioning and smart TVs. The larger Suites offer additional living space, luxurious bathrooms and closet areas. Tended to by 125 staff, time at sea is spent enjoying informative lectures and interactive workshops, or simply watching the stunning vistas pass by from the glass-domed observation lounge.
There is a focus on health and wellness, with a range of options allowing passengers to maintain optimum levels of fitness and wellbeing whilst at sea. The open-air running track, gymnasium, heated swimming pool and on-board spa are some of the highlights of the World Explorer. Meals are delicious and freshly prepared, alongside freshly baked pastries and sweet treats to keep energy levels up after thrilling shore excursions, before cocktail hour at the ship’s bar in the early evening.
The highlight of any expedition on board the World Explorer are undoubtedly the Zodiac excursions out into the wild polar landscape, launched from the purpose-build lower deck of the vessel. Other activities such as kayaking, stand-up paddle boarding and polar camping are available subject to availability and the correct weather conditions.
