An assortment of one and two-bedroom villas, Xanadu is an idyllic retreat offering plenty of privacy for both couples and families. Thanks to its enviable location, Xanadu is perfect for those looking to combine activity, culture, and of course relaxation on the beach, which is just meters away.
Six villas make up the accommodation at Xanadu, each individually designed and decorated. All six can be hired exclusively for larger groups of family or friends, accommodating a maximum of 18 guests, or on an individual basis. Villas vary in size and feature a unique blend of architectural styles, some offering secluded rooftop plunge pools, while others display tall, traditional cathedral windows. Natural tones are interspersed with pops of color, ensuring rooms are bright and welcoming, and the surrounding tropical gardens offer guests the utmost privacy. Each villa offers a kitchen, lounge and dining area, and guests are able to dine here thanks to the resident chef who can cook in-villa dishes, made to order.
Although each villa has its own living area, Xanadu provides a charming central dining area located around the main pool. Here traditional Tanzanian dishes are served, using local ingredients inspired by Swahili cuisine. Of course no stay in Zanzibar would be complete without sampling some delicious locally-caught seafood - it doesn't get any fresher than this!
Known as the Spice Islands, the Zanzibar archipelago is rich with history, and contains a unique blend of cultures within its islands. This makes for a wide variety of fascinating cultural sights nearby, and there is a lot on offer for those looking to explore the islands. From kayaking, diving and stand up paddleboard, to tours of Stone Town and spice farms, there truly is something for everyone on this vibrant island.
