Highlights
Opened 2016
The only place where guests can enjoy views both into the Ngorongoro Crater and the Serengeti
Open year round
Six bedroom camp designed to create minimum impact on this extraordinary site
The most recent addition to Nomad Tanzania's collection of camps, Entamanu Ngorongoro opened in August 2016. Inspired by the crater, its name means "circle" in Maa (dialect of the Maasai people) and is a remarkable option on its periphery. Affording superlative views into the 3000ft deep crater and across the Serengeti, its off-the-beaten-track location is perfect for watching the sun rise and set over Northern Tanzania.
With only six luxury tents (two with options for families), the camp offers an outstanding setting and a completely removable structure meaning minimum impact on this unique location. However Entamanu Ngorongoro does not compromise on elegance and comfort (flushing loos, hot and cold running water and indoor heating).
A year round camp, Entamanu Ngorongoro is ideally located for game drives into the crater in search of the Big 5, guided walks through the surrounding highlands, interactions with neighboring Maasai communities and relaxing bush picnics. Excellent and experienced guides are on hand to teach guests about this breath-taking landscape and its fantastic culture.
The camp is only 2 hours from Manyara Airstrip, driving distance from Arusha and would combine perfectly with other camps in the Serengeti and Tarangire National Parks.
