Also known as ""Jacaranda City"", Pretoria is the seat of South Africa's administrative capital.
The tour will bring you through major historical sites including the Voortrekker Monument, built out of a granite edifice to commemorate the Great Trek. Continue to Church Square with its Paul Kruger statue. Paul Kruger was the President of the South African Republic circa 1883-1900.
The Church Square is surrounded by many buildings of strong historical importance, such as the Old Raadsaal (Parliament) and the Palace of Justice. Also here is the impressive Union Buildings, which is the very site of Nelson Mandela's inauguration at May 10th, 1994. Completed in 1913, the Union Buildings is considered as Sir Herbert Barker's greatest achievement and South Africa's finest architecture.
