Hike Jonkershoek: Panorama Circuit

Follow the famous Panorama Circuit, trekking around 17km or approximately 6 hours through some of the most exceptional views of the Cape Peninsula.
With landscape of vast mountains and green fynbos, this nature reserve is one of the best hiking options in the Winelands. Lying approximately 9km from Stellenbosch, the reserve covers an area of 9,800 hectares.
Panorama Circuit trail is graded moderate to strenuous, but the effort is well-rewarded with stunning panoramas over the entire valley with jagged peaks and valleys. The route winds across the Drawsberg plateau with streams, onwards to Kurktrekkernek. Summit to the Guardian Peak, standing at 1,227m which allows you a picturesque panorama of the Cape Peninsula, including the Table Mountain, Cape Point, Robben Island, False Bay, Cape Hangklik and the peaks of Hottentots Holland range. The path eventually descends to Tweede and Eerste Waterval.
Please bring your swimming costume and note that the path can be slippery when wet.
