Full Day Cape Town and Table Mountain
A full-day tour visiting Table Mountain for unforgettable views, returning to the city through the Malay Quarter, and incorporating a two-hour walking tour stopping at many of the city’s most important landmarks.
Ascending Table Mountain does not just mean huge and memorable views from the top, the journey back through the Malay Quarter and on to Milnerton lighthouse, also means the chance to view it from the same perspective as the early settlers did when they sailed into Table Bay. This busy but fascinating tour also takes in the House of Parliament, the Company Gardens and includes lunch at a local restaurant. The highlight, though, is the two-hour guided walking tour through the historic and cultural heart of Cape Town, where you’ll learn about how the city played a pivotal role in Nelson Mandela’s journey from prisoner to president. Highlights of the walk include the Mandela Rhodes Building, Greenmarket Square, City Hall and Parliament and Tuynhuis, the setting for much political intrigue, debate and negotiation. All of this combined makes for a truly enlightening and well-balanced day.
