The Casa Andina Premium Collection Puno is conveniently located right on the shores of Lake Titicaca on the outskirts of the city of Puno. Like other Casa Andinas across Peru, the hotel features good facilities and affordable accommodation.
The Casa Andina Premium Collection Puno is perched at water’s edge and takes full advantage of its privileged location, with extraordinary views 3,800m above sea level. The majority of the hotel’s 46 guest rooms boast unparalleled lake views; the hotel’s gourmet restaurant is enclosed by a glass wall framing the lake and gardens; and a large, sunny terrace invites guests to contemplate Lake Titicaca’s seemingly endless expanse. Unique among Puno hotels, oxygen can be requested in all rooms (a bonus for guests having difficulty adapting to the high altitude).
The hotel is a reflection of its altiplano location, built with rustic local materials, including stone, wood and clay tiles, while stone fireplaces warm the lobby lounge and restaurant. With Lake Titicaca the premier draw, guests can set off to explore the unique islands right from the hotel’s long private pier extending over the lake. The hotel also has its own private train station for easy access to the historic town of Cuzco.
Casa Andina Private Collection Puno features 46 mountain or lake view guest rooms. Rooms at the hotel offer fabulous views of the lake or the mountains, oxygen upon request, bathtub, telephone, hairdryer, heating, cable TV, complimentary high-speed WiFi Internet access, safety deposit box and coffee maker & coffee supplies.
Children are welcome to come and stay at Casa Andina Private Collection Puno. However, there are no specific facilities available for them.
Facilities at the hotel include a gourmet restaurant with panoramic lake views serving freshly caught lake fish and Andean specialties, lounge bar with inviting large stone fireplace, outdoor terrace/bar, overlooking Lake Titicaca, private pier (for boating excursions to the islands) and private train stop (available for groups incoming from Cusco).
Activities at the hotel include visits to the infamous islands including the floating Uros, Taquile and Amantaní, as well as the remote ecolodge, a splendid getaway on private Isla Suasi. With Cusco within easy reach, guests can also enjoy the many cultural activities offered in and around this historic town such as visits to the ruins of Machu Picchu and other archaeological sites in the area.

Casa Andina Private Collection Puno has the feel of a Mediterranean villa on the shores of Lake Titicaca. Most of the guest rooms have a small balcony and view of the lake over the terrace or pretty garden. The terrace is the ideal place to relax in the Andean sun and look out over the boats coming and going to the Uros Floating islands, one of the regions most unique attractions. The beautifully tended lawn with colorful shrubs and plants leads onto small fields which border the lake and give an insight into the traditional rural lifestyle with local farmers brining their livestock to graze there.
Out of the three Casa Andina properties in Puno, this lakeside hotel is the best. Just outside of town, the two-floor building has large stone and slate walls, and a fireplace in the lobby. Clean rooms and baths share a similar style and are basic, full of natural light, and have all modern amenities, even cribs for babies if needed. A restaurant serves up good novo-Andino food and the bar is probably too well-stocked. The only real downside: even with space heaters, it tends to get cold. Pros: Good atmosphere, oxygen tank, great terrace. Cons: Gets cold, rooms are small.
