Tokyo kicks off its year with cold winter days and the odd snowfall. Although temperatures occasionally drop below freezing, winter (December to February) is usually reasonable. Spring (March to May) brings pleasant, warm days, and, of course, cherry blossoms – early April is probably the best time to view the blooms. Summer (June to August) is hot and muggy. Late June can see torrential rains. The temperature and humidity are at their worst in August. Apart from spring, autumn (September to November) is the most pleasant season as temperatures cool down to a cosy level and days are often clear and fine. Fall also means the return of the dramatic foliage season, when the parks and green areas of the city mellow into varying hues of orange and red.

As a traditional hotel, almost all rooms are twin in set up but provide everything you need for a comfortable stay.
The Japanese restaurant at Hotel Niwa, Yukuri, serves delicious Kaiseki cuisine and overlooks the garden courtyard providing an oasis in Tokyo and a real feel for the relaxing nature of simple Japanese design. Alongside Yukuri, Niwa also serves fantastic French inspired cuisine at the Grill & Bar.
Rooms at Hotel Niwa provide a lovely comfortable stay in the city with all the amenities that you need. Rooms are designed with Japanese tradition in mind and are almost exclusively twin rooms. To promote relaxation, rooms are designed with warm neutral tones and Superior Rooms offer added space and comfort.
Even though there are not any specific childcare facilities available at the hotel, children and families are welcome and there are multiple occupancy rooms available.
There are two lovely restaurants available at Hotel Niwa, serving both French and Japanese cuisines. The Grill & Bar Lieu boasts an impressive wine cellar and offers French inspired dishes, as Yukuri is well known in the neighborhood for serving traditional Japanese Kaiseki cuisine and overlooks the beautiful garden courtyard.
Hotel Niwa does not have its own swimming pool but can provide pool access for their guests at the parter facility Esforta Suidobashi, just a minute walk from the hotel.
