  • Dive into the glamour of the spa, enjoying the privacy of the poolside cabanas and range of restorative wellbeing treatments.

Occupying the top five floors of the 45-storey Tokyo Midtown Yaesu Tower, the Bulgari Hotel is a fabulous fusion of chic Italian design and exquisite Japanese craftsmanship. Hand-blown Murano glass lights hang from Japanese temple-style wooden ceilings, while sharp Carrara marble and Venetian terrazzo are softened by beautiful Japanese textiles. Also on display are warm woods, caramel leather, trademark Bulgari black granite with pops of color, vintage 1950s black and white photography and exotic flower arrangements.

The hotel is just minutes from Tokyo Station and staff are happy to greet guests at their arrival platform to accompany them to the hotel. Accessed via an impressive ground floor entrance, a bank of express lifts awaits to whisk guests up to the 40th floor. Featuring towering glass walls with magnificent views across the city, the lobby, reception and lounge area are light, airy and welcoming, while the service is a delightful blend of Italian warmth and more formal Japanese hospitality.

The 98 rooms and suites showcase the same stylish blend of Italian and Japanese design as the rest of the hotel, while window blinds automatically rise onto the epic skyline views whenever the room door is opened. The neutral palette is enlivened with saffron and gold accents, and rich woods, while sliding screens open to reveal luxe black granite bathrooms. Suites feature a separate living room and connectivity is available for larger families and groups. For those seeking la dolce vita, the Bulgari Suite, one of the largest in the city, is designed to offer the ultimate in lounging, dining, living, sleeping and working space.

The hotel’s two restaurants reflect both cuisines. Book Il Ristorante by Niko Romito for modern Italian fare or head to Sushi Hoseki for Japanese dining, enjoyed at the intimate eight-seat hinoki cypress wood counter overlooking a bijou Zen Garden. The comfortable lounge and terrace make a delightful spot for afternoon tea and snacks, where you can savor handmade Italian pastries and chocolates, from sweet treat heaven, Bulgari Dolci. Or ramp up the sophistication at the 45th floor Bulgari Bar, with two rooftop terraces and an inviting drink and a bar menu.

The glamorous Bulgari Spa is a temple of indulgence, home to a 25m pool flanked by glamorous white cabanas which spill out onto the rooftop terrace. There are 9 treatment rooms offering the latest wellbeing therapies, sauna, steam room and Japanese-style bath. For keeping in shape, the Workshop Gymnasium offers results-orientated training programs.

Close to the Imperial Palace, the Bulgari Tokyo is well-located for exploring the shops and restaurants of Marunouchi, Nihonbashi and Ginza.
