In July and August the climate is hot and humid, while the area is busy with tourists. Hotels in the Amalfi Coast tend to close for the winter, starting in October until they reopen in late March or April.

Positioned on a cliff-side overlooking the stunning Bay of Naples, La Minervetta is a beautiful boutique hotel with 12 rooms moments away from the center of Sorrento. This hotel is a great base to explore the culture and history the area has to offer.
La Minervetta was originally built in the 1950s. It is set high up on a sea cliff overlooking a quaint old fishing village, surrounded by orange and lemon groves. It boasts spectacular views over the Bay of Naples and is close to the center of Sorrento.
This boutique hotel consists of 12 bedrooms, each with sea views and many with floor to ceiling windows. Rooms are individually designed with a contemporary and colorful interior. The hotel's main suite has two balconies and a huge walk in shower.
There is no restaurant at La Minervetta, a buffet breakfast is served in a beautiful kitchen area where guests can help themselves to fresh breads, meats and cheeses as well bacon and eggs to order. The positioning of the hotel means that guests are moments from the cafes, pizzerias, bars and Michelin starred restaurants that Sorrento has to offer.
For those who are feeling active a visit to Pompeii is a must when staying here. For a change of scenery hop the hydrofoil which departs regularly throughout the day to Capri.

La Minervetta has 12 beautifully decorated rooms with one Junior Suite that boasts two Balconies. All rooms have wonderful views of the sea and almost all have floor to ceiling windows. All rooms have a flatscreen televisions, Sky TV, and the hotel offers free WiFi.
Childcare
La Minervetta only accepts children aged 12 years or older.
Facilities
The hotel serves a delicious continental breakfast on the terrace daily, however La Minervetta does not have its own restaurant. There is an array of delicious restaurants nearby though and the staff at the hotel will gladly recommend some.
There is a giant outdoor hydro massage tub at the hotel which opens at the beginning of May. There are complimentary sun loungers and towels provided for guests.
