Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Cambodia is hot all year round and the best time to visit is during the dry season, which runs from November to April. It starts to get wetter in May and the wettest months are September and October. It is still possible to visit during this time as rain usually falls as short sharp storms. November is a fantastic month to visit Cambodia as it is very green after the rainy season and the lakes and rivers are full of water.

A boutique style property in a peaceful location, the Heritage Suites Hotel is just minutes from the Siem Reap River, offering an elegant and luxury retreat after a day's exploring the mystical temples of Angkor.

Heritage Suites Hotel is a luxurious sanctuary in the heart of Khmer culture at the end of a quiet residential street. Only a 3-minute tuk-tuk ride from the center of town and a 10-minute one from the Angkor complex it is well placed for soaking up the delights of Siem Reap.

The Heritage Suites Hotel's 20 suites and six rooms are spacious and the elegant with low-key décor which harmoniously combines Asian tradition with modernity. The suites all have a small tranquil garden, some with outdoor showers and Jacuzzis and the oversize stone bathtub is a prominent feature of the rooms.

The main restaurant and bar area, housed in the same building, is very relaxed offering Khmer and Western cuisine and an extensive selection of international wines. Enjoy meals both inside and out - dinners by the pool romantically lit by lanterns are truly memorable.

Heritage suites is a very stylish French boutique in central Siem Reap. The rooms are incredibly spacious and open with peaceful private gardens, the pool is a lovely place to go in the afternoons after sightseeing and they have a fabulous drink menu with classic cocktails as well as some own brand twists that make the most of the local produce. They are also very environmentally conscious and currently compiling a list of ways they are helping not only the environment but the local community too.

What I loved about this property is the atmosphere. You enter straight into the chic bar complemented by a galleried restaurant serving a tantalising mix of Khmer and French cuisine. Carry on into the gardens and you will find the most delightful pool, calm and serene and surrounded by inviting loungers - exactly what you want after a busy day discovering Angkor Wat.
