A fourth-generation family-owned property, Mount William Station dates to the 1860s. One of Victoria’s oldest homesteads, it enjoys a peaceful location set within a 7,500-acre estate which includes the glorious Lake Anne, at the foothills of the Grampians National Park. The Homestead features seven ensuite bedrooms, thoughtfully renovated to provide boutique accommodation with shared facilities including TV room, two lounges, dining room, a well-equipped kitchen, an outdoor pool, sauna, grass tennis court, extensive gardens, olive grove and picturesque lake.
Each ensuite bedroom has been individually designed to combine heritage features with the clean cool lines of modern minimalism, creating a stylish and soothing sanctuary. Some include original fireplaces, clawfoot bathtubs and a dressing room, while the largest, Elizabeth’s Wing features a King bedroom, bathroom, lounge and kitchen.
Homestead accommodation is on a half-board basis with a gourmet farm-to-table three-course dinner served each evening at the communal dining table. Evening meals are accompanied by a selection of Western Australia’s finest wines, while each day begins with a sumptuous two-course farmhouse style breakfast. The menu changes daily and uses fresh seasonal produce from local artisan producers, with a focus on sustainability. For those requiring lunch, this can either be pre-ordered and customized to work with your schedule or the chefs can prepare a hiking pack for eating on the move. For lazy lunches on the farm and around the pool, charcuterie boards and picnics can be ordered from the kitchen.
When not exploring the magnificent and diverse terrain and wildlife of the Grampians National Park, Homestead guests can relax at the pool and sauna, enjoy a game of grass court tennis, take out a boat and enjoy a spot of fishing on Lake Anne and explore the olive grove and English-style gardens
