Melbourne enjoys a temperate climate with warm summers, balmy and mild spring and autumn and cool winters. The main summer season is from December-February and the quietest time of the year is the Aussie winter June-August. However, as Melbourne plays host to many international sporting events as well as fashion weeks and international conferences, it is always a good idea to book in advance and check to find out what is happening in the city when you are looking to book.
To start planning your vacation to Crown Metropol
Situated at the heart of Melbourne’s vibrant and fashionable Southbank precinct, the Crown Metropol showcases contemporary luxury in its purest form, providing a sleek, modern sanctuary in this bustling and exciting area.
The Crown Metropole’s elegant form and unique design create a peaceful haven contrasting with the lively bustle of Melbourne’s streets. From the moment you enter the uniquely designed reception area you will feel a sense of calm and this will remain while enjoying the hotel's stunning rooms, great facilities and innovative restaurants and bars.
The Crown Metropol's 658 designer-inspired rooms balance modern comforts with cutting edge design, some with panoramic views of Port Philip Bay. Chose from a Luxe Room, a peaceful sanctuary with great views, a studio style room with contemporary urban design or a stunning loft-style suite with stunning interiors and breathtaking views.
The same views can be taken in from '28', the exclusive lounge and sky bar on level 28. Relax by the rooftop pool and spoil yourself at Isika, the exclusive day spa.
The Crown Metropol has 658 designer-inspired rooms. Luxe Rooms stretch from levels 8 to 26 and are fairly compact sanctuaries with wonderful views. Studio Rooms are on the same floors as Luxe Rooms but are more spacious and have the added flexibility of a chaise lounge that converts into a bed. The 33 Loft Suites have a modular lounge and dining table, plus three LCD TVs, deep soaking bath and plenty of personal space. The voluminous Apartment on level 25 has the ultimate in space and mod cons.
The Crown Metropol welcomes children and two studio rooms can be combined to create a two-bedroom room well suited to families. The hotel can arrange babysitting on request and there is plenty for families to see and do in Melbourne and children will love it here.
'maze' and 'maze grill' by Gordon Ramsey are a highlight of the hotel with menus specifically designed to incorporate the freshest ingredients found in Australia. 28 is the hotel's fashionable sky bar with panoramic views of Melbourne. There are numerous other premium and casual dining outlets within the Crown Entertainment Complex and the Crown Metropol itself has a wonderfully indulgent spa, beautiful rooftop swimming pool and fully equipped gym.
The Crown Metropol is located in the Crown Entertainment Complex which houses two other Crown hotels, numerous general and luxury shops, bars, clubs, concerts, restaurants, bowling, cinema and a casino. Melbourne's vibrant Southbank precinct and docklands are convenient short walk away.

As much as I really like Crown Towers - Crown Metropols big sister - I was so pleased when I heard about this new property. It has all the cool, innovative style that Crown Towers has but it is much less ostentatious and more contemporary in style. Crown Metropol is contemporary luxury at its best, with elegant interiors and a very calm atmosphere. I particularly loved the infinity edge pool and wonderful spa. I also loved the dcor in the rooms, neutral but stylish and the rain shower was fantastic! The hotel is set just a bit back from South Bank, so it is less hectic here, but still within easy access of all the shops and restaurants.
