Estancia Peuma Hue

The lakeside retreat of Estancia Peuma Hue literally translates as ’Place of Dreams’ in the native Mapuche language. Set amidst dramatic scenery in the Nahuel Huapi National Park one can understand where it gets its namesake.

Peuma Hue has just fourteen guest rooms, spread across two houses and three cabins with stunning views across the lake, forest or mountains. All rooms are decorated in an elegant, rustic style with log clad interiors, cosy fabrics, huge windows and hand-built furniture.

The lodge is beautifully designed, combining great comfort and roaring fires along with personal, attentive service and unforgettable views. Additionally, the Estancia is home to literally dozens of domesticated horses, dogs, cats and other endemic wildlife and is a true retreat for animal lovers.

Puema Hue is an excellent base for trekking, horseback riding, boating and kayaking. The more adventurous can also opt for experiences beyond the property such as white water rafting, rock climbing, or rappelling. The estancia is also close to a number of trails that connect to the Nahuel Haupi National Park, one of the largest national parks in Argentina. Dining is a special treat at Peuma Hue, featuring delicious, homemade meals prepared using organic vegetables straight from the estancia's own garden. In this friendly family-style atmosphere, meals are eaten at a communal table. After a full day of exploring the mountains, you can enjoy yoga, a massage or unwinding in the outdoor wooden hot tub as you overlook the beautiful Andean peaks.
