Punta Del Este Vacations
Punta del Este is an exclusive resort on the southern tip of Uruguay. Close to Montevideo, Punta del Este is known for its beautiful scenery, extensive beaches, fine restaurants and dazzling nightlife. The Punta del Este peninsula also offers fantastic opportunities for water sports and sailing.
Further north up the coast is the more intimate, but equally exclusive town of Jose Ignacio. Until a few years ago, Jose Ignacio was a small fishing town of little note, but its rustic charms and idyllic beachfront setting have caused a precipitous rise in popularity. Despite this, Jose Ignacio, where ‘only the wind is in a rush’ is a more tranquil option to the bustling Punta del Este.
