Casa Suaya

Moved by his passion for the charming village of Jose Ignacio, Adolph Suaya, decided to build this posada on four acres of Uruguayan pampas surrounded by horse pastures and pine trees. Cozy refined and very romantic, Casa Suaya is located in a privileged location close to the best restaurants and nightlife but far enough so as to keep it exclusive.

Casa Suaya faces the grassy sand dunes of Brava Beach and is made up of 28 rooms and three thatched roofed bungalows. The spacious rooms have all modern furnishings with stone fireplaces, flat screen TVs, DVD player and in the special rooms you will also find a small kitchenette. Most of the rooms have views to the ocean, and all have large windows to let in the natural light. The decor is a modern antique mix.

Each room is tastefully decorated and based on the theme of one of the artefacts that owner Adolfo Suaya has collected on his world-wide travels. The hotel has a swimming pool but guests can also relax on the lovely beach at the front of the property.

Explore the private gardens, relax by the pool and enjoy the view of the bay. Spend a comfort-filled day within the property or explore all the area has to offer. Visit a nearby lighthouse, the local art galleries and fashion boutiques, go for a bike ride or go for a horse ride along the beach. In the evening, dine at Butia, where Chef Clo Dimet serves the freshest ingredients cooked in the local style by using wood-fired ovens or why not head out to the fantastic restaurants and great nightlife down the road in Punta del Este to soak up the party atmosphere during high season.

This is one of the best options in the area of Jose Ignacio, the rooms are superb and the location is perfect and they have all the facilities to go with it. The service can be a little erratic and laid back at times however the hotel's excellent location and standard of the rooms make it one of the best choices in the area.
