The first hotel in Madrid to provide electric light and a restaurant, the Gran Hotel Ingles now boasts 48 elegant rooms harking back to the 1920s. The restaurant at Gran Hotel Ingles, Lobo 8, offers diners a creative menu of Spanish cuisine, based on traditional sharing dishes. Lobo 8 puts a contemporary twist on the sherry taverns, or tabancos, of Andalucia and incorporates produce from Madrid and the south. LobByto, the hotel bar, also serves a selection of traditional tapas alongside its elegant cocktails.
