Best time to Visit

Good time to visit

Average time to visit

Florence is an exciting place to visit at any time of the year, and most attractions are open all year round. The best time to visit Florence is in May, early June, late September and October. Days during those months are usually warm, and quite long. July and August are hot and humid with many tourists. Since most Italians leave their hot cities in the summer, many restaurants are closed in Florence.

Winter can get cold, particularly January but it is quiet. Temperatures are more favourable in the spring and autumn months.

The hotel's location is fantastic, just off the Ponte Vecchio and very easy walking distance to the rest of Florence's delights. The staff are lovely and the hotel has a nice relaxed atmosphere. Bedrooms are all good sizes for a city hotel and the design is very cool; quite masculine and beautifully done. The photos from the 50's of the beginnings of the Salvatore Ferragamo brand - celebs in his clothes, original sketches, parties in full swing and the city of Florence are wonderful and you can spend hours wandering around the hotel transfixed on each and every one.
