Best time to Visit
Good time to visit
Average time to visit
Florence is an exciting place to visit at any time of the year, and most attractions are open all year round. The best time to visit Florence is in May, early June, late September and October. Days during those months are usually warm, and quite long. July and August are hot and humid with many tourists. Since most Italians leave their hot cities in the summer, many restaurants are closed in Florence.
Winter can get cold, particularly January, but it is quiet. Temperatures are more favourable in the spring and autumn months.

Description
Set in the heart of Florence, Hotel Brunelleschi is located just moments from the famous Cathedral, or Duomo. Many of the luxurious suites on the upper floor offer fantastic views of the city, and the major sights and shopping streets are just steps away.
Hotel Brunelleschi is ideally situated in the center of Florence, between the Duomo and Piazza della Repubblica. With world-renowned architecture on its doorstep, Hotel Brunelleschi is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the city. The hotel is just steps from the Uffizi Gallery, the Duomo and the Palazzo Vecchio, so guests are spoiled for choice when it comes to discovering the culture and history of Florence.
Part of the hotel is housed in the 'Pagliazza Tower', the oldest surviving building in the city center, dating from the early medieval period.
With recently renovated rooms, Hotel Brunelleschi provides all modern necessities, as well as retaining touches of grandeur throughout. From the bespoke, specially crafted furniture, to the light flowing fabrics, the suites perfectly blend opulence and luxury within the setting of this historical building. Particularly impressive is the Pagliazza Tower Suite, with its breathtaking views from the very top of the Byzantine tower. Possibly the most unique suite in Florence, a stay here will leave you with truly special memories.
Discover fine dining at Hotel Brunelleschi's Michelin-starred Santa Elisabetta restaurant, where beautifully-presented dishes are created using the best of Italian ingredients. The artistry of the plates is enhanced by the sophisticated design of the restaurant - with just a few tables and semi-exposed brick walls, the restaurant feels welcoming and intimate. If you are in the mood for something more rustic, a visit to Hotel Brunelleschi's Osteria is a must. In the summer weather eat al fresco in the square, and be transported back through Italy's past as you feast on traditional Tuscan dishes.
Accommodation
Hotel Brunelleschi is comprised of 96 rooms, of which 8 are Junior Suites and 6 are Suites. All suites perfectly combine elegance and luxury with modern touches. The suites all provide guests with luxury bed linens, iPod docks and a Nespresso machine. Bathrooms are complete with robes, slippers and Dr Vranjes toiletries, as well as double basins, and whirlpool bathtubs.
Childcare
Hotel Brunelleschi welcomes children of all ages. Cots and high chairs are available for guests' use, and the hotel has a babysitting service if required.
Facilities
Hotel Brunelleschi houses two fabulous restaurants. The Michelin-starred Santa Elisabetta Restaurant is elegantly decorated, and guests can enjoy beautiful dishes prepared with local ingredients in sumptuous surroundings. The Osteria della Pagliazza, on the other hand, has a more relaxed environment, serving rustic and traditional Tuscan dishes. Head to the stylish Tower Bar for a chilled drink, or to take part in ice cream or wine tastings.
Reviews
James Ferguson (Staff)
The Brunelleschi is a great choice if you're looking for a hotel that's right in the center of the everything. The owners have done a fantastic job blending the historic site (the building incorporates a Byzantine tower and has a museum in the basement) with the modern (rooms and public areas with a stylish, modern, clean design). For a special occasion it's well worth enquiring about the availability of either the Pagliazza Suite or one of the Suites with a roof terrace: they offer a unique view over the Cathedral's Dome.
