Beana Laponia is the place for you if you love huskies and want to experience a more authentic Finnish vacation. The rooms are cosy and are a great place to relax at the end of the day. The main lounge area centers around a roaring fire with large windows out onto the snow-covered woodland below. The owners enthusiasm for her huskies is infectious and you cant help but fall in love with them. Im already dreaming of revisiting for a winter wonderland escape.

When I visited in November 2015, the hotel was due to open in just a few weeks. I absolutely loved the concept and thought that an adult-only hotel was an inspired idea. The toboggan slope, although I didn't actually have time to have a go on it, looked incredible and the outdoor hot tub very tempting too.
