Perched up in the hills of Costa Rica's Central Valley, a short drive from San Jose is The Retreat, a transformational wellness center with a fantastic spa and wonderful facilities which will leave you feeling refreshed and pampered. Enjoy yoga classes and learn the art of preparing raw food in between spa treatments and relaxing swims in the beautiful pool.

Created by Diana Stobo, a renowned health and wellness coach, The Retreat is the perfect destination to escape the stresses of daily life or simply to relax after an adventurous Costa Rica journey, leaving you rejuvenated in time for your flight back home. Boasting spectacular views of the surrounding valley and across to the Pacific Ocean, guests can make the most of this jaw-dropping location from a private terrace, the firepit or even the resort's pool.

Accommodation is simple yet beautiful, with a range of rooms, suites and casitas available in fresh tones and crisp whites. All come with WiFi but all other mod-cons are kept to a minimum to promote a more healthy lifestyle. Ceiling fans are provided in each room and there are large doors which open out to gardens or a terrace to enjoy the outdoors and the fresh air. Facilities include a yoga studio, teaching kitchen, fitness center and community room with a reading library, movie library and a selection of board games. Guests can relax here in the evenings or opt to sit around the firepit and enjoy a glass of organic wine.
