A superb way to experience the Okavango Delta, activities include game-drives with knowledgeable safari guides, walking safaris and mokoro (dug-out canoe) trips through the waterways.
Machaba is a wonderfully comfortable and well-designed camp, with stylish interiors, great guiding and delicious home-cooked meals. There is a cozy lounge area and a dining tent where meals are served by candle light each evening, and a swimming pool for cooling off during the heat of the day between safari activities.
There are ten tents here, eight luxury tents and two family tents which have two bedrooms and a shared lounge area. Each has been designed with comfort in mind, with comfy beds, fluffy pillows, chairs to relax in and read a good book during siesta time, and en-suite bathrooms. Each overlooks the Moremi and Khwai rivers, offering picturesque views and the possibility of a spot of game-viewing from the front of your tent if you're lucky!
The Khwai concession of the Okavango Delta has good densities of wildlife, including plenty of predators, so your game-viewing here should be rewarding. It is not as remote or private as some of the Delta's concessions, but this is reflected in the price of the camp which offers great value compared to the ultra-luxury, more remote camps in Botswana.
