Walking is best experienced in the early morning. After a quick cup of coffee head out from camp with your guide in the lead. The noises of the night before and experienced knowledge of the bush will help set the direction of the walk. As you move along, you become more in tune with the sights, sounds and smells of the bush around you. The pace is slow and there are regular stops to interpret the clues and signs left by the animals.

The guides in Zimbabwe are fantastic. The training is rigorous and very few are passed each year to qualify as walking guides. We have always had fantastic Zimbabwean guides wherever we have been on safari in the country.
