Each room enjoys views over a permanent water hole, situated next to the main lodge. Big game frequently heads to here for a drink, allowing for fantastic game viewing from the lodge. The main building has a comfortable lounge and dining area, and there's a lovely campfire where guests can gather for an early morning coffee or evening sundowners.
The guiding at Camp Hwange is of a very high standard. All guides here are experienced professionals in both game drives and walking safaris. Camp Hwange is well-known for the quality of guiding, a crucial factor for experienced and novice safarigoers. Track the bigger game in a safari vehicle and on foot. One of the highlights of Camp Hwange is the hideout by the Masuna water hole where you can spend a few hours viewing the animals at close range. Elephants, buffalo, Kudu, Giraffe and Zebra are frequent visitors to the water hole and further down the road is the Mandavu Dam which is home to a large number of crocodiles and families of hippo.
