Miami is a year-round destination but summers can be hot and humid from June to November. Ideal conditions exist between December and May, when temperatures average between 16°C and 30°C, and average rainfall is a mere 2.14in per month. Summer is hot and humid, with thunderstorms rolling in at 3pm or 4pm. August is both the rainiest and hottest month – and there’s always the chance of hurricanes during the season from June to November.
To start planning your vacation to The Miami Beach EDITION
With an abundance of family-friendly facilities and a fantastic Mid-Beach location, The Miami Beach EDITION is a contemporary luxury hotel which caters perfectly to guests looking for a fun-filled Miami break, combining city and beach seamlessly.
Away from the main hustle and bustle of Miami's South Beach, The Miami Beach EDITION can be found in a lovely private enclave of Collins avenue stretching out onto Mid-beach. Its location off the main strip makes it perfect for both couples and families, offering a little more privacy and keeping it separate from Miami's party scene.
The Miami Beach EDITION is sleek and modern with stunning modern bedrooms which works well for the new generation of travelers visiting Miami. Unique and innovative, the range of facilities on offer at the property accommodate all ages, with the Basement entertainment center giving the EDITION a distinct edge. Featuring a small nightclub (with separate entrance to avoid noise disturbance), bowling alley and ice-skating rink, the Basement offers something for families with older children to keep even tricky-to-please teenagers entertained, or big kids!
There are two pools at this beachfront hotel, which are both very private and situated away from non-hotel guests. The original hotel pool has been lovingly restored and the old diving board has been turned into an iconic piece of art. Cabanas can be hired around the pool to while away your days which have all the mod-cons to ensure a relaxing day under Miami's sunshine. A large on-site gym and beautiful spa ensure that those in search of a wellness stay are not forgotten and offer an alternative to exploring should the weather not be in your favour.
The EDITION opens up right out onto the beach where guests can make use of sun loungers and umbrellas to enjoy views of the calm ocean waters. In comparison to the hustle and bustle of South Beach, the EDITION enjoys a quieter location, allowing families spend whole days here happily.
There are a large choice of room types at The Miami Beach EDITION with lots of connecting options accommodating families comfortably. Views are either over the city showing the beautiful lights at night or ocean views with the bluest of seas in front of you. If you would rather have some more space there are also suites and bungalows on-site. Rooms and suites are all contemporary and elegant, many offering a terrace with table and chairs to soak in the views in privacy.
Bathrooms are marble with rainforest showers and all rooms are complete with a range of mod-cons to ensure a comfortable stay. Facilities and amenities include HDTVs, BEATS bluetooth speakers, complimentary high-speed WiFi and a fully stocked mini bar.
No specific child care facilities are available, however The Miami Beach EDITION is very family-friendly with a range of amenities to keep families entertained. Teens will love the bowling alley and the ice-rink in the Basement entertainment center!
Matador is this hotel's fine dining Cuban restaurant; set in a circular room, this restaurant has a great atmosphere with some of the best Cuban food in the city. Market is the hotel's 'to-go' option with a charcuterie bar, seafood bar and selection of tease, coffees and cakes. With lots of places to sit this is a great place to start your evening out in Miami.
Downstairs in the basement of the hotel hosts some great facilities for little and big kids! There is an ice skating rink and a four lane bowling alley, along with a retro bar. There is also a 70s style small nightclub but, with a separate entrance to the street, people in the main hotel area will not be disturbed.

Its always exciting to see a new hotel for our portfolio and with so much to choose from in Miami, I knew that the Edition really had to deliver in order to wow me, and it didnt disappoint. Further North in mid beach but still on the boardwalk that connects all the way through to the center of South Beach and Ocean Drive, the Edition has a great Miami location yet still manages to ensure more of a serene and elegant feel, something different to obtain from many of the more central hotels. What struck me first was the staff, warm, welcoming, friendly and genuinely so. Smiley as well, so simple but not always seen, I knew from the moment I arrived I was going to like this place. I had an ocean front suite, definitely worth the upgrade if you have the budge, direct ocean views and contemporary and spacious. There was a little noise from the South beach parties that evening (it was Friday night) but this seemed to disappear around 10pm and I could sleep with the balcony door open with the sounds of the ocean. The hotel has the original part, preserved for its art deco surrounds, and the more modern bungalow building where the real treats of suites are. Not cheap but amazing space and some even have plunge pools on the balcony, the penthouse is a treatment with a huge balcony, pool and ocean views, quite fabulous! As for the rest of the hotel, family friendly? Definitely, Couple friendly? Yes, very much so. Two pools, a fine dining restaurant from an original nightclub where Frank Sinatra used to wind down after shows, a bowling alley and even an ice rink, bring together a unique and rather special hotel. Its even just a few steps from the beach. The Edition really does deliver and is an exciting new prospect for a Miami Beach stay.
