The lush valley that surrounds The Hotel Alyeska is enveloped by snow-capped mountains, glaciers and tapers off to views of the ocean, inviting adventures in every direction on land, by sea and up in the air. A perfect introduction to Alaska for families, Alyeska Resort offers cozy accommodation, endless excursions and a number of dining options and other facilities to cater to every need.
In the summer months, the resort is alive with lovers of the outdoors and has a friendly buzz, attracting hikers, bikers and families simply in need of an escape. An aerial tram whisks guests high into the mountains where spectacular views can be enjoyed as you dine and a number of fantastic walking trails begin. Nearby Prince William Sound provides a spectacular backdrop for kayaking with its vast glaciers and rugged scenery and cruises can also be enjoyed were you can expect to see whales, otters and other wildlife. For something a little more extreme, flight-seeing tours are available; enjoy soaring over the Chugach mountain range by helicopter for unrivaled views of the majestic peaks. Ziplining, rafting, yoga and summer dog sledding on the glacier can also be arranged.
The hotel itself has been completed in the style of a traditional mountain resort and offers 304 comfortable rooms, with options to suit a variety of guests. Facilities include several restaurants, cafes and bars, a fitness center, pools and spa.
