Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons is a traditional English country Manor House located about 8 miles from Oxford. Celebrated Chef Raymond Blanc opened the hotel in 1994 wanting to establish the perfect harmony between a restaurant and a luxury hotel, offering one of the U.K's best gastronomic experiences alongside exceptional service and comfort. Within its gardens there are some 90 varieties of vegetables and 70 different herbs, all of which are used in Blanc's 2-Michelin Starred restaurant - very much reinforcing Blanc's garden-to-table philosophy. One of the best experiences is to walk through the walled gardens in the late afternoon, which contain Japanese Tea Gardens, orchards and ponds (dug by monks in the 16th century) - past rows of sweetly smelling lavender bushes and along a croquet lawn back to the house. We can even arrange for you to attend the Raymond Blanc Gardening School where your interactive tuition will take you through the 11 delightful gardens and orchards ending with a sumptious working lunch.
Raymond Blanc's colorful character has been expressed throughout the hotel's 32 individually-named guest rooms and suites, which contain memoirs from his travels and French Heritage.
