Kanchanaburi and Railway Experience

You will visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum, an interactive museum, information and research facility dedicated to presenting the history of the Thailand-Burma Railway. The fully air-conditioned center offers visitors both an educational and moving experience.
Next you will make a stop at the War Cemetery, the final resting place for over 6,000 allied POWs that worked and died during the Japanese occupation. After a short drive you will experience a long-tail boat trip along Maeklong River to the famous Bride over the River Kwai.
You will have lunch at a local restaurant near the bridge, then continue with your driver to the notorious Hellfire Pass. The pass is named for the torches that lit the narrow canyon so that workers could continue through the night. Take a walk along the former railway embankment, where you can still see tool marks in the rock (comfortable walking shoes are advised).
