The restaurant is overseen by Chef Duarte Batista, whose sophisticated take on Mediterranean cuisine fused with Indian spices, is fast gaining an outstanding reputation. In keeping with the responsible travel ethos, all ingredients are locally sourced and sustainable. Highlights include seared red mullet, slow cooked pork belly and lobster pasta, all exquisitely presented.
The ground floor bar provides direct access to Rua das Flores and is a great spot to enjoy Portuguese-inspired drinks and snacks. In honor of the hotel’s history, every Wednesday and Saturday night, guests can enjoy the tradition of ‘fire opening’ a bottle of port, enjoying a glass of this local favorite with a chocolate truffle.
